Seco Tools chooses Mercur for planning and business analysis
After thorough evaluation
of various alternatives, Seco Tools has chosen to turn to Mercur to develop its
performance management.
The goal for the implementation of the Mercur Business
Control system is to achieve more efficient and flexible budgeting and forecasting
processes. In addition, the system will be used for the follow up of results,
investments and projects. This, in turn, will allow Seco Tools to more easily
follow up and analyze operations based on various assumptions, which ultimately
provides more efficient performance management and better support for decision
making.
- Introducing Mercur Business Control means that our business intelligence process is further streamlined and it provides us with higher quality information for decision making. We chose Mercur Business Control for the system's flexibility, simplicity and scalable solution with logical structures that we can continue to build on. In addition, we see an opportunity to easily and cost-effectively adjust system structures based on how our organization is developing, says Ann-Christine Nilsson, Business Controller at Seco Tools.-
- We are very pleased that an additional part of the Sandvik group has chosen Mercur as a partner for the development of its performance management. We see a clear trend that more and more companies are reviewing their processes and their system support to find new opportunities to streamline and improve planning and performance management. Seco Tools was looking for a highly experienced supplier whose system best responded to the company's requirements, which they found at Mercur, says Ulf Alkelin, CEO at Mercur Solutions AB.
Seco Tools is part of the
Sandvik Group and belongs to the largest business area Sandvik Machining
